Nearly everything is more expensive in Europe than in North America, and if you have to do some heavy-duty replacement, the ability to quickly ship your sister’s backpack, some clothes, mom’s camera, a five-dollar watch, shoes, and so on, could save you a fortune. Why pay European prices to buy things you will only need for a few weeks? Antipodeans are, unfortunately, out of luck here.
