Optional gear

Xhe following equipment is optional, and most of it relates to camping- Don’t make the mistake of bringing camping gear to give yourself “the option of camping.” This stufi weighs a lot. Decide before you go if you’re going to hostel or camp. This advice does not apply to those who are driving and thus less constrained by weight. In that case, by all means bring camping gear even if you intend to sleep indoors for much of your trip.
