Rick StevesRick Steves Rick Steves publishes guidebooks that supposedly take the traveler off the beaten track to “back doors” in Europe. But, just like Lets Go, Steves sells enough books to ensure that any place mentioned in one of his books is automatically moved onto that very beaten track. On the plus side, Steves has traveled in Europe a lot, and if you like his style (I don’t), his books are fairly readable, but they are less practical than most of the alternatives.
