Let’s Go

Let’s Go Europe is the guidebook of choice for the majority of young Americans and Canadians traveling in Europe. Let’s Go is written by Harvard undergraduate students, so consider the source when opinions are expressed about politics and countries. Let’s Go also publishes a number of single-country guides.

Let’s Go Europe has a useful color section of metro and city maps; it is partially updated every year; and, if you want to meet your compatriots abroad, remember that more young Americans and Canadians have this book than all others combined. On the downside, it covers 31 countries in one book, and so covers each country without very much depth. Also, Let’s Go sell so many books that they can often have a serious impact on the places they write about. If it’s mentioned in Let’s Got you may rest assured that other travelers will have been there before, and that prices may have risen as a result.
