Australian Passports

Aussies can apply for passports at over 1700 post offices throughout the country. After filling out the somewhat complicated form, you will need to appear for an interview, which may require an appointment. Aussie passports cost a fair bit: AusUSD 144 for a regular passport, AusUSD 72 for seniors. You should have your passport in hand in about three weeks. For those in a hurry, and within three weeks of departure, a priority service is available. For USD 60 extra, the fee guarantees the processing of an application by a passport office within two full working days (48 hours), provided the applicant has met all the other requirements. Call toll-free ®131 232 for more information, or go to ©www.passports -gov.au.
