Sewing/repair kit

A small sewing kit can be worth its weight in platinum. Once again, you can put together your own. Include at least six needles, including some big ones for repairing your pack, as well as some dental floss and some serious wire for the same purpose. Also include thread, several safety pins, some buttons, and whatever else you can think of. The athletic tape in a first-aid kit is useful for repairs as well, as is a small roll of duct tape.
