Rock Bottom Budgets
If you are reading this and it seems that Europe is beyond your reach, take heart. A two-month trip with train pass is not mandatory. Below I have set out a one-month ultra-budget trip. This trip will require some major creativity on your part, especially in arranging transportation to where you want to go. And at seven dollars a day for city transportation, you will be walking a lot. You shouldn’t hitchhike unless you are very comfortable with the idea, but you may be able to appeal to other hostelers who have a vehicle. Keep your ears wide open. I sincerely doubt if you could do better than this - certainly don’t count on it.
