Sleazy Europe: red-light districts and drugs

There are certain activities, and certain “special economic zones” in some European countries which are illegal elsewhere - hence they are damn near irresistible to some travelers. I have to admit that I sure made a beeline for the red-light district upon my first arrival in Amsterdam. Rather than ignore the presence of such activities and places, here are my opinions on, and experiences of, the seamy side of Europe.
