Communications

The days of operators, transatlantic cables, telegrams, and all of the old images of communicating with Europe are gone with the wind. In today’s information-driven world, Europe is only an electronic microsecond away. The mail can take a while to get through, but, except in some parts of Eastern Europe, it is almost always possible to call home quickly and easily, or keep in touch over cyberspace. It’s a small world, and getting smaller.
